POSTPONED: MMM Presents: Q5 (USA) + support

Q5 is a hard rock-heavy metal band from Seattle, Washington. Founded by Floyd Rose and Scott Palmerton, who were bandmates in NW legendary band The Core, original members are; Floyd Rose-Lead Guitar/vocals, Scott Palmerton (aka) Jonathan K.-lead vocals, Evan Sheeley-Bass Guitar, Gary Thompson-Drums and Rick Pierce-Lead Guitar

Several songs written by Rose and Palmerton were recorded over a few weeks at Bob Lange Studios using Sheeley and Thompson who were both still in the band TKO at the time, as rhythm section. Eventually the two left TKO to join with Rose and Palmerton who were already calling the project Q5. The demo was taken to Ken Kinnear, who at the time was also managing Heart. Kinnear upon listening to the 6 song demo, signed them to a management agreement and brought in Mike Flicker as producer to the band. Around that time, Palmerton decided to use the stage name, Jonathan K.
