Friday 10 March 2023:
Your Higness (BE) + Earth Ship (DE) + Heavy Lord (NL)
Your Higness (BE)
Belgium’s extreme sludge unit Your Highness have unleashed their third and eponymous full-length to the world and it hits hard as a buffalo stampede! With their unique gritty vocals, ear-grinding grooves and trademark thunderous pace, the Antwerp quintet constantly crosses the thin border between sludge metal and swamp-soaked hardcore. But don’t think they go pedal to metal at all costs:YOUR HIGHNESS have always had a soft spot for classic heavy and bring out the catchiest and most melodic riffage that such a crushing outfit can deliver these days. Feast your ears with the volcanic onslaught and stomp-inducing anthems of their new album “Your Highness”
The band has played renown festivals such as Pukkelpop, Graspop, Roadburn, Desertfest Belgium, Groezrock and many more. Battle-tested through stages across Europe, supporting the likes of High On Fire, Torche, Corrosion of Conformity, ASG and The Sword among many others, Your Highness are set to take the future by the horns and ride it to the sound of thunder! Ten years of colossal riffage and shivering blues and it’s only just begun!
Earth Ship (DE)
Ever since their inception in 2010, Berlin 3-piece Earth Ship have built their reputation in the vast field of the stoner / doom / sludge underground scene as one of the most relentless and heavy-hitting live bands out there. With their thunderous blend of sludgy riffs, bluesy leads, virulent vocals and a massive dose of both groove and humour, the trio have taken Earth Ship to the stages of Desertfest, Stoned From The Underground, Hoflaerm or Pelagic Fest, and toured with bands like Red Fang, Torche, Crowbar or Voivod.
After 3 albums on Pelagic, the band signed with Napalm Records for the release of 4th studio album „Hollowed“ in 2016. But the alliance didn’t last long, and the band returned to the welcoming arms of Pelagic records for album #5: Resonant Sun
Heavy Lord (NL)
Back from the living dead as if they have never been away. Heavy Lord is a doom / sludge band from Hellevoetsluis, drawing inspiration from Sleep and Electric Wizard. Since their inception in 2003 they have relased 4 albums and played many gigs as a quartet throughout Europe with the likes of Crowbar, High On Fire, Gojira, Eyehategod, Church of Misery and Toner Low.
After a hiatus since 2012 the band is re-activated as a trio and stripped down to the bare essentials of their sound, keeping it loud and ultra low.
