The Temple are a painful quartet, which started the doom metal pilgrimage back in 2005.

Akelei

Akelei is one of a few doom bands which create melodic Doom metal of the lighter and more romantic-melancholic kind, but without drawing on influences from the Peaceville Three school. Instead they sound like they could have taken the cold alternative pop/rock sound of Canaan and This Empty Flow, and drawn in some heavy Doom/Death riffage. Whether the band plays hard Doom metal with a soft edge or soft Doom metal with a hard edge, it’s really hard to tell.
